Speech-Language Pathologist
Meet Deja, the heart and soul of Empowered by Speech and Language SLP Inc. As our founder and clinical director, she brings a wealth of passion to her role as a speech-language pathologist. Her commitment to cultural competence and representation is matched by a solid educational foundation, with a B.Sc. in mental health and an M.H.Sc. in speech-language pathology from the University of Toronto.
Expertly trained in the Lidcombe and Hanen programs, Deja specializes in fluency, articulation, and language development. As a registered clinician with CASLPO and SAC certification, her dedication to providing equitable and inclusive speech therapy services is unwavering.

Speech-Language Pathologist - Assistant
Sydney is a Communicative Disorders Assistant graduate from Durham College with Honours. Sydney is committed to assisting children and their families in achieving their communication goals by providing support that is person-centred and tailored to each child’s specific needs and unique personality.
Sydney has a passion for working with children and is experienced working with special populations including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome and more, and is skilled in using different augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Sydney is a registered member of the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada (CDAAC) and takes every opportunity to expand her knowledge. Sydney’s professionalism, patience, and empathetic personality will ensure clients leave every session feeling more confident in their communication.
